Oliver Twist has Nancy at last!
The waiting is finally over as Jodie Prenger, is crowned Nancy for the forthcoming production of Oliver! The 28 year old from Blackpool triumphed in the live final of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s I’d Do Anything on Saturday 31st May. She beat Kerry girl Jessie Buckley into second place. Isle of Man’s Samantha Barks was the first of the finalists to be voted off the show.
Cameron McKintosh’s musical promises to be a huge West End hit with tickets selling fast. Oliver Twist is certainly Dicken’s most well known novel and also perhaps, the most widely loved and audiences are eagerly anticipating this latest production.
Oliver Twist opens on 12th December at Drury Lane theatre and the cast includes Rowan Atkinson as Fagan and Rosemary Leech as Mrs Bedwin. Of course the three Olivers are Gwion, Harry and Laurence.
