Rachel Tucker to star in We Will Rock You
Fans of tv show ‘I’d Do Anything’ might be overjoyed by the news that fourth placed Rachel Tucker will be fulfilling her West End dream after all. A lot of people thought that Rachel would win the series; she looked and acted like the ideal Nancy to many of us. In addition to that, she has had plenty of acting experience, appearing on numerous occasions in her native Belfast but also touring the UK with ‘The Full Monty’, ‘Tommy’ and ‘Tonight’s the Night’.
Rachel will be taking over as ‘Meat’ in ‘We Will Rock You‘ from 22nd September.
‘We Will Rock You’ has been at the Dominion theatre for over six years and written around the music of legendary rock group Queen. With storyline by Ben Elton, it has gone on to prove a wonderful West End experience, despite the early criticism of many theatre critics.
Visually, it is such an exciting experience and if you like Queen music, there is nothing not to like. It is based in a futuristic world where rock music is banned. But the rebels rise up against globalisation and the tough laws of daily life.
