Get your theatre tickets for Mamma Mia Tenth Anniversary

The demand for Mamma Mia theatre tickets shows no sign of slowing down as the show starts its eleventh year on the London stage. The musical based on, and featuring, the songs of Abba, is one of the West Ends most successful money spinners. In fact, the only current musicals which have been running longer are ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ and ‘Les Miserables’.

The show opened in London on the 6th of April 1999 exactly twenty five years, to the day, after Abba won the Eurovision Song Contest. Since then 19 productions of the show have opened around the world and a film of the show has been made.

The London production originally opened at the Prince Edward Theatre but moved to its current home, the Prince of Wales Theatre in 2004.
The cast includes Katie Brayben, Jodie Read, Laura Selwood, Jane Gurnett, Joanna Monro, Paul Ryan, Andrew Hall and Gerard Leighton Duffy.

The musical is set on a Greek island and tells the story of a daughter’s quest to discover the identity of her father. It could be one of three men and she brings them back to the island they had visited twenty years before in an attempt to find someone to walk her down the aisle as her wedding approaches.
