If you are thinking about taking in a London show, here are details of some of the shows that have just opened.

‘The Last Cigarette’ is adapted from Simon Gray’s memoirs and is running at Trafalgar Studios. It is directed by Richard Eyre and stars Jasper Britton, Felicity Kendal and Nicholas Le Prevost.

Meanwhile, at the Menier Chocolate Factory, the Ben Travers farce ‘Rookery Nook’ runs until the 20th of June. Terry Johnson directs a cast which includes Neil Stuke.

If you fancy a musical, Sue Pollard stars in the 1960s jukebox musical ‘Shout’ at the Arts Theatre. It runs until the 28th of June. Amongst the 30 hit songs included are “Downtown”, “These Boots Are Made for Walking”, “To Sir with Love”, “I Only Wanna be With You” and “Son of a Preacher Man”.

The first production of the season at Shakespeare’s Globe is ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and it will run in repertory until the 23rd of August. It is directed by the Globe’s Artistic Director Dominic Dromgoole and stars Adetomiwa Edun and Ellie Kendrick in the title roles.

At the Lyric Hammersmith until the 23rd of May is Tamasha Theatre Company’s Bollywood musical version of Emily Bronte’s ‘Wuthering Heights’.
