The National Theatre’s revival of Tom Stoppard’s ‘Every Good Boy Deserves Favour’ will return next year for a limited season from the 9th of January to 17th of February 2010. The production earlier this year starred Toby Jones and Joseph Millson although no casting has yet been confirmed for the 2010 production.
Details have now been announced for ‘The Black Album’. The play is adapted by Hanif Kureishi from his own novel. It is a co-production with Tara Arts and is helmed by their Artistic director, Jatinder Verma. It will run in repertory in the Cottesloe Theatre from the 21st of July to the 7th of October 2009, with previews from the 14th of July. It will then go on a six week regional tour. Venues for the tour include Liverpool, Leeds, Oxford and Warwick.
There is also news of further theatre tickets now available. ‘Phedre’ starring Helen Mirren and directed by Nicholas Hytner has been extended until the 27th of August. ‘England People Very Nice’ by Richard Bean will continue until the 9th of August and ‘All’s Well That Ends Well’ directed by Marianne Elliott is now booking until the 30th of September.
Sunday performances which have proven so successful will resume in both the Olivier and Lyttleton Theatres from the 9th of July.
