Early Closing

The last chance has arrived to grab theatre tickets for two shows which will be closing earlier than planned.
First of all, ‘Spring Awakening’, the musical which has been running at the Novello Theatre since the 21st of March and was booked until the 31st of October, will now close on the 30th of May. This show had a successful six week run at the Lyric Hammersmith before transferring to the West End.
The show stars Charlotte Wakefield, Iwan Rheon and Aneurin Barnard. It had its world premiere at New York’s Atlantic Theater Company in May 2006 and won eight Tony Awards in 2007.
Also closing earlier than expected is Simon Gray’s ‘The Last Cigarette’ starring Felicity Kendal, Jasper Britton and Nicholas Le Prevost. The show, produced by the Chichester Festival Theatre, opened in Chichester in March before transferring to the Trafalgar Studios. It previewed there from the 21st of March and opened officially on the 28th of March.
The show had been booking until the 1st of August but will now finish on the 23rd of May.
‘The Last Cigarette’ was adapted from playwright Simon Gray’s final volume of ‘The Smoking Diaries’. It was written by Hugh Whitmore in collaboration with Gray shortly before his death last summer.
