The Rat Pack
‘The Rat Pack’ is set to return for a limited period and promises to be one of the capital’s hottest theatre tickets over the Christmas period. The show will open at the Adelphi Theatre on the 28th September 2009 with previews commencing on the 23rd of September. It will run until the 21st of November. A special festive version of the show, ‘Christmas with the Rat Pack’ will then run from the 24th of November to the 3rd of January 2010.
The show is presented as a concert performance taking place in the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas in 1960. The bill is Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. They are all brought back to life by tribute acts.
Songs in the show include ‘Memories are Made of This’, ‘My Way’, ‘Volare’, ‘Fly Me to the Moon’, ‘My Kinda Town’,’ New York, New York’,’ Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime’, ‘That’s Amore’, ‘I’ve Got You Under my Skin’,’Mr Bojangles’,’The Lady is a Tramp’, and ‘Witchcraft’.
‘The Rat Pack’ originally opened in the West End at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in March 2003. In June 2003 it moved to the Strand Theatre (now known as the Novello) and then moved to the Savoy in June 2005 where it ran until August 2006. Since then it has toured successfully.
