Show Overview

‘Dreamboats and Petticoats’ is a new West End musical produced by Bill Kenwright and Laurie Mansfield and is on the back of the hugely successful album of the same name. Released in 2007 and featuring classic hits from the 60’s from such stars as Cliff Richard, Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, Bobby Vee and Bobby Darin.

This production was previously at is at The Savoy Theatre and is a ‘must see’ musical at the Playhouse Theatre for every age group.

In 1961 two talented musicians Norman and bobby compete for a national song writing competition as well as for the attentions of the gorgeous Laura who is not just a pretty face… able to pick up a guitar and rock the house, fame and fortune beckons.

‘Dreamboats and Petticoats’ is all about rock and roll from the era that inspired hit after classic hit. The music is familiar, the dancing terrific and the story fun and lively. It is written by Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, the team behind ‘Goodnight Sweetheart’, ‘Birds of a Feather’, ‘The New Statesman’ and ‘Shine on Harvey Moon’.
