Private Lives
‘Private Lives’ is one of Noel Coward’s most revived plays and it returns to the West End in the New Year with a cast that guarantees theatre tickets selling quickly once they become available. Perhaps the most famous production in recent years was Howard Davies’ production in 2001 which starred Alan Rickman and Lindsay Duncan. Earlier this year the play was revived at Hampstead as part of that theatre’s fiftieth anniversary celebrations.
The new production will have a two week run at the Theatre Royal Bath from 10 to 20 February 2010. It will then go on to previews at the Vaudeville Theatre from 24 February and open 3 March 2010. The stars will be Kim Cattrall and Matthew MacFadyen and if that is not enough to whet your appetite the director is multi award winning Richard Eyre.
Kim Cattrall is most famously known for her role in ‘Sex and the City’ both on television and in the cinema. In fact she has an impressive list of film credits going right back to the first Police Academy film and including ‘Mannequin’, ‘Unforgettable’ and ‘My Boy Jack’. Stage credits include ‘Wild Honey’, ‘The Misanthrope’ and ‘View From the Bridge’. Cattrall’s West End debut was in 2005 in Brian Clark’s ‘Whose Life Is It Anyway?’ You can see Kim perform with our theatre tickets on our website.
