Billy Elliot
‘Billy Elliot The Musical’ is playing at the Victoria Palace Theatre and currently has theatre tickets available for dates up until 3rd April 2010.
There are five youngsters who currently take it in turns to play the leading role of young Billy. The older Billy is played by Barnaby Meredith who has previously appeared in ‘Gypsy’ at the West Yorkshire Playhouse and ‘Great Expectations’ at Leeds Grand Theatre.
Sean Kingsley plays Mr Braithwaite. His previous stage credits include ‘The Drowsy Chaperone’, ‘Mamma Mia’ and ‘Les Miserables’. He has also graced our television screens in ‘Wire in the Blood’, ‘Merseybeat’ and ‘The Bill’.
Jo Riding plays Mrs Wilkinson. Her television credits include ‘Holby City’, ‘Heartbeat’ and ‘The Royal’. She played Sarah Brown in Richard Eyre’s fantastic production of ‘Guys and Dolls’ at the National Theatre and Eliza Doolittle in a West End production of ‘My Fair Lady’. She has also appeared in straight theatre where credits include ‘An Ideal Husband’ and ‘Hobson’s Choice’ at the Manchester Royal Exchange and ‘Blithe Spirit’ at Bath Theatre Royal.
Craig Gallivan plays Tony. His theatre credits include ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’, ‘Crime and Punishment’ at the National Theatre and ‘Days of Significance’ for the Royal Shakespeare Company. He has also been seen on our television screens in ‘Torchwood’ and ‘Footballer’s Wives’.
