The Phantom Of The Opera

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s smash musical ‘The Phantom of the Opera‘ continues its run in the West End of London, South Korea, Argentina and Broadway. It is also touring North America and there is even a spectacular Las Vegas version for those looking for a break from the roulette wheel. In short, this phenomenon continues to sell theatre tickets in incredible numbers.

David Shannon has recently taken over the role of the phantom. David has previously been seen in the role of Jean Valjean in ‘Les Miserables’ and in the title role of ‘Sweeney Todd’ at the Gate Theatre in Dublin. He has also done his share of classics, including the title role in ‘Macbeth’.

Meanwhile, the previous phantom, Ramin Karimloo is preparing to reprise the role in the sequel to ‘The Phantom of the Opera’, ‘Love Never Dies’. Ramin has previously appeared in ‘Miss Saigon’, ‘Les Miserables’ and ‘Sunset Boulevard’.
‘Phantom’ is running at Her Majesty’s Theatre. ‘Love Never Dies’ will play at the Adelphi Theatre where it opens on 9 March 2010 with previews from 20 February. Theatre tickets for both shows are on sale and you can expect the demand for ‘Phantom’ theatre tickets to increase when the sequel opens.

Joseph Millson also joins the cast of ‘Love Never Dies’. He is certainly in demand. He started 2009 at the National Theatre in ‘Every Good Boy Deserves Favour’ and has gone on to work at Glyndebourne, the Almeida and the Royal Court Theatre.
