Written by celebrated British writer Roald Dahl, the novel Matilda was adapted to a movie, directed by Danny DeVito, in 1996 and commissioned as musical by the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2010.  A sell out at the Courtyard Theatre, Matilda the Musical London is expected to be incredibly popular!

Author of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and a string of other classics,  the ex World War 2 ace fighter pilot Roald Dahl has been described as “one of the 20th Century’s greatest storytellers for children”.

Loved by parents and children alike, Matilda is the story is of an extraordinary little girl with a very special imagination. Thinking, quite rightly, that her parents are only interested in watching television, Matilda is looked upon as a nuisance, and school is no escape for the talented child where life is made a misery for students AND teachers by the terrifying headmistress Miss Trunchbull.
