Theatre tickets soon go on sale for a brand new musical showing at The Garrick Theatre in London. All The Fun At The Fair is written by and stars David Essex, pop pin up of the seventies. The show, named after his best selling album, follows life within a travelling funfair.

Levi Lee, played by Essex, is the owner of the funfair and a recent widower trying to cope with the loss of his wife. His rebellious teenage son is causing strain with his tumultuous love life, and a recently divorced widow is showering him with unwelcome affection. After a gypsy predicts a dismal fortune, Lee is left feeling bereft and hopeless.

The score features some of Essex’s best known hits, including Rock On, Hold Me Close, Winters Tale and Gonna Make You a Star, making this theatre performance in London a guaranteed night to remember. Joining Essex in the cast will be Michael Pickering (Wicked, High School Musical), Nicola Brazil (Hairspray, Wicked, Grease) Christopher Timothy (Doctors, All Creatures Great and Small) and Louis English (Oliver!, Me and My Girl). Jon Conway is co-writer, with direction from David Gilmore, design by Ian Westbrook, sound by Steve Jonas and lighting by Ben Cracknell.

Currently at The Garrick theatre in London is The Little Dog That Laughed, by Douglas Carter Beane, premiering here in the UK after a successful run on Broadway. The cast includes Tamzin Grieg, Rupert Friend, Harry Lloyd and Gemma Arterton.
