COMPLICIT TICKETS – LIVE AVAILABILITY
The eagerly awaited production of ‘Complicit’ by Joe Sutton, which opens in January at The Old Vic, not only boasts the talent of Richard Dreyfuss in the cast, but will also feature David Suchet and Elizabeth McGovern. And that’s not all. Not only is it a world premier production, but it will be directed by none other than Kevin Spacey.
Spacey, who has been at the helm of the theatre since 2003, promised big name talent when he took over, and so far he has never failed to deliver. Not that everything has been a smooth ride for him whilst he’s been in charge; the failure of ‘Resurrection Blues’ which was directed by Hollywood legend Robert Altman was a major low point. However, there have been many successful productions at The Old Vic, and ‘Complicit’ looks likely to add to that tally.
The play focuses on the story of Ben Kritzer, a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, and takes a sharp look at our political climate. The show’s marketing material asks: “As liberties are stripped away can you ever know what is being perpetrated in your name?” Dreyfuss will play the role of Kritzer, with Suchet taking on the role of Roger Cowan, and McGovern that of Judith Brown.
‘Complicit’ opens on January 7th and runs until February 21st. If this london show doesn’t sell theatre tickets, one wonders what will.
