Wednesday, February 17th, 2010There is fantastic news for anyone planning a weekend in London. Another show has joined the growing trend for Sunday matinees. The National Theatre in London and ‘The Lion King’ were two of the first to adopt this policy, and it has paid off for them. Now the Prince Edward Theatre will open its doors on Sundays for the smash hit musical ‘Jersey Boys’. theatre tickets for the Sunday performances are on sale now and promise to be extremely popular so, as always, it is worth booking well in advance.
‘Jersey Boys’ is the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. It has won an amazing 21 major awards around the world, including the prestigious Olivier Award here in the UK. Naturally it includes many of the groups’ hits, including ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’, ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’ and ‘Walk Like a Man.’
Michael Parkinson has said of the play: “Mafia, betrayal, love, revenge. Go see it!” We couldn’t have put it better ourselves. The show stars Ryan Molloy as Frankie Valli. His musical theatre pedigree includes ‘Godspell’, ‘Eurobeat’ and ‘On The Town’ for the English National Opera.
