‘Darker Shores’ promises to be one of this festive season’s most popular productions. It runs until January 16th 2010 at the Hampstead Theatre and theatre tickets are already selling fast. The cast was announced some time ago but there has been a last minute change. Mark Gatiss was due to star in this Christmas chiller, but has had to withdraw due to the illness of a family member. He has been replaced by Tom Goodman-Hill.

Goodman-Hill is a very familiar face from television, with credits including ‘People Like Us’, ‘Ideal’, ‘The Devil’s Whore’ and ‘Moses Jones’. He is also a regular face on our cinema screens, his film credits including ‘The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen’, ‘Charlotte Gray’, ‘Miss Austen Regrets’ and ‘Hippie Hippie Shake’. His stage credits include ‘The Seagull’ for English Touring Theatre, ‘Bartholomew Fair’, ‘The Two Gentlemen of Verona’ and ‘Talk of the City’ for the Royal Shakespeare Company and, most recently, ‘Enron’ at the Royal Court Theatre, London.

Julian Rhind-Tutt also stars and the cast is completed by Vinette Robinson and Pamela Miles.

Miles starred in the enormously successful film ‘A Fish Called Wanda’, and has many television credits including ‘Cold Enough for Snow’ and ‘Family Business’. Stage credits include ‘Animal Farm’ at the National Theatre and ‘Pygmalion’ at the Old Vic.
