’Perfect Pitch’, a showcase for encouraging original British Musicals returns to the Trafalgar Studios  from the 3rd to the 8th of November. There will be two shows each day from Tuesday to Saturday at 3.30 and 7.45. There will then be a special concert performance of ‘Through the Door’ on Sunday the 8th of November. This is a musical by Laurence Mark Wythe which was shown in last year’s showcase. Julie Atherton, currently starring in ‘Avenue Q’ will once again play Charlotte, a modern housewife who feels trapped in her suburban married life but discovers a possible escape when she finds she can get to 17th Century France through the kitchen.
Four musicals have been selected for this year’s showcase. These are ‘The Go-Between’ by Richard Taylor and David Wood, ‘In Touch’ by Dougal Irvine, ‘Super Alice Smith’ and ‘From Up Here’ by Adam Day Howard, Aaron Lee Lambert, Adrienne Salmon and Benjamin Murray.

Perfect Pitch was founded 3 years ago by producer Andy Barnes. This annual showcase has now expanded and with funding from Arts Council England, it now provides opportunities for embryo musicals to be developed throughout the year.
