Hosted by three top stars of British stage and screen, Horse Tales is a theatrical production of poetry and prose, anecdotes and musical accompaniment of classical guitar by Simon James. All profits from the event are going directly to the Horses’ Refuge.

Celebrating the horse’s contribution to our society and heritage, Horses’ Tales is a one night only event performed by Jenny Seagrove, Martin Shaw and Nichola McAuliffe.

Born 21st January 1945, Martin Shaw has starred in a multitude of London, Broadway and international theatre productions as well as numerous classic television productions such as The New Avengers and The Professionals. He is most recently recognisable as ‘Judge John Deed’ in the BBC drama by the same name.

Alongside Martin is his Judge John Deed co-star, Jenny Seagrove who is also well known for her appearances on TV and stage including recent leading roles in Alan Ayckbourn’s Absurd Person Singular and The Letter.

Completing the trio is Nichola McAuliffe, who first achieved fame in Granada Television’s ‘Surgical Spirit’ and has since appeared in Coronation Street and Doctor Who, and won a coveted Laurence Olivier Award for her performance in Kiss Me Kate. Recent credits include roles in the film Cheri and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the London Palladium.
