A nationwide search to find Billy Elliots resulted in the 2004 opening of the 'Billy Elliot Academy' in Leeds. The centre provides talented young performers with the opportunity to develop their skills with a view to joining the musical’s staff.
The Billy Elliot cast includes Chris Lennon as 'Tony', Alex Braithwaite as 'Mr Braithwaite', Ann Emery as 'Grandma' and Paul Broughton as 'George'. 'Billy' is either: Colin Bates, Leon Cooke, Dean McCarthy or Travis Yates.
