Show Overview

The 39 Steps is a hilarious comedy thriller based on a 1915 novel by John Buchan and a subsequent 1939 film, The 39 Steps by the legendary Alfred Hitchcock.

Set in May 1914, just prior to the outbreak of the First World War, the show is about Richard Hannay, a stunningly handsome British secret agent recently returned to London from operations overseas.  The stereotypical hero, together with stiff upper lip and pencil moustache is intent on starting a new life.  However, events soon draw the brave adventurer back into an exciting undercover world of pursuit, heroics and of course stunningly beautiful women!

With a cast of only 4 actors carrying out around 150 roles, this Olivier Award winning Best New Comedy is classic British entertainment at its very best!
