Show Overview

Absurd Person Singular a hilarious comedy by Alan Ayckbourn.  Consisting of three acts, the play follows three consecutive Christmas Eve parties in the homes of three different couples, all with distinctly different characters.  As you can guess the parties do not go as smoothly as intended with one couple on the brink of break up, another couple desperate to impress, a wife on the verge of suicide and another desperately jealous of anyone with a nicer home than her own.

Set behind the scenes in the kitchens of each house, this dark comedy examines the changing fortunes of the couples over the three year period, each party revealing new twists in the couples relationships.

This gut-busting examination into the lives of three 'ordinary' suburban families is arguably Alan Ayckbourne's finest comedy and certainly not one to be missed!
