The West End play, Madame de Sade does not open until 13th March next year but staring Judi Dench, it is sure to be a big hit and we predict tickets will be sold out prior to commencement of the shows’ run.

Madame de Sade, directed by Michael Grandage is told through the eyes of six different women, de Sade’s wife, mother and sister and three imaginary women. It follows Renee de Sade who, despite her husband’s lewd behaviour, loyally stands by him whilst he is imprisoned in the Bastille. It is set on the eve of the bloody revolution in France.

Dame Judi Dench has won, amongst others, six Laurence Olivier Awards.   Director Michael Grandage is currently artistic director at the Donmar Warehouse and has worked with Joseph Fiennes, Kenneth Brannagh and Derek Jacobi.
